The Loop
Everything hangs off Production → Scene → Shot → Take. On each shot, do these three moves before you keep directing.
Pull characters, places, and files from the Library onto the shot.
Write the action, run H3 Max, and review takes in the strip.
Keep the winner on the timeline and move into the next shot.

Cast, places, objects, and files.
Reusable references across shots. Characters can include a voice sample, but H3 Max still needs an image or video so it knows who is on camera.
Write the action, then spend credits.
Describe what happens on the shot, check the credit estimate on Generate, and review takes in the strip under the player. You can queue a few generates at once.
Temporary preview becomes a keepable clip.
Unsaved takes live on fal’s temporary CDN. Save & Continue copies the video into FalStudio storage, marks it on the timeline, and opens the next shot. Download alone does not keep it in the project.
Optional handoff to the next shot.
The toggle beside Save & Continue. When on, the last frame of the saved take passes forward for visual continuity. Turn it off for a clean cut.
Cost up front. Retention with intent.
The diamond balance sits next to help in the studio header. Generate shows the credit cost before you run. Saved takes stay in FalStudio storage. Unsaved takes can expire. Active plans keep productions long-term.
FAQ
FalStudio is a film-style production workspace built around fast H3 Max generation. You organize work into productions, scenes, and shots; keep reusable characters, locations, and objects in a library; generate multiple takes; and Save the ones that belong in the project so continuity can carry to the next shot.
Most tools optimize for a single generation. FalStudio optimizes for directing a sequence: ordered shots, named cast and places, optional character voices, end-frame continuity, and a Save step that stores keepable media in the production instead of leaving everything as a temporary preview.
Save & Continue copies the selected take into FalStudio storage for that production, marks it Saved on the timeline, and opens the next shot with the same characters / places / objects. By default it also attaches the take’s last frame for visual continuity. Unsaved takes stay on fal’s temporary CDN and can expire.
Yes. On a character in the Library, upload look images and optionally a voice sample. When that character is on a shot, the voice counts toward the shared audio reference budget. Voice alone is not enough for H3 Max. You still need an image or video so the model knows who is on camera.
H3 Max is a high-speed video generation model available through fal.ai, built on MiniMax H3 and optimized for very fast video generation. It supports text-to-video and reference-driven workflows (images, video, and audio), which is why FalStudio centers library refs and continuity around it.
